Betty Lehman Oppenheimer - September 14, 1919 - August 8, 2011

Got back to Buffalo last night late, and this afternoon around 4:30 PM, mom drifted off in her sleep. It could not have been a more peaceful end.

Jamie, feel my arms around you right now - my heart is with you and full of love. You and I just hung up the phone after you informed me of your Mother's passing and all of our 19 years together are flooded memories swimming amidst my heavy tears at present. I'll speak with you again soon. In the meantime, as I have said to you many, many times, Betty was so lucky to have such a wonderful, considerate, and loving son. You are not alone -- you will never be without love. xoxoxox ~Shauna Leigh~

Jamie,

I remember, after all these years, what a wonderful woman your Mom was. She was very kind to our family and my grandmother (Nana). I will never forget seeing them at Nana's funeral and it felt good to see them. You had great parents and I am glad to have met them. I am sure, someday, I'll get the chance to say hello to them again.
